• Congratulations to Beverly Smith, Chrissy Allen, and Leigh Ann Durham who have been accepted to the Golden Gift Leadership/Management Seminar in Austin, Texas, this July! Kathie Harned was also selected as an alternate. Way to go, ladies!!!

• The Music Committee is looking for sisters with musical talent who would be interested in playing any instrument that would be appropriate as the officers and members come in for the general sessions at the 75th Xi State Convention. We are trying to get as many people involved as possible. If this is something you would like to do, or you have someone from your chapter who is musically talented, contact Rosemary Smith at rhs423@charter.net

• Pre-publication orders are now being taken for the long-awaited 75th Anniversary Memory Book "Glances Into the Past . . . Glimpses Into the Future: Seventy-five Years of Xi State Memories, 1935-2010"! [>>more]

• If you are planning to attend the 2010 International Convention in Spokane this July, now is the time to make your hotel reservation. • A new addition to Xi State historical records is a complete listing of Society scholarship recipients from 1945 to the present, compiled by Scholarship Chair Janice Sorsby. A printable listing is available in pdf format and a sortable listing is available in Excel format. Enjoy! [>> more]

• Chapter annual reports are due February 1, 2010, from chapter president, communication, necrology, finance, membership, nominations, program, scholarship, and world fellowship chairs. Chapter officers and committee chairs please meet this deadline, so state officers and state committee chairs can meet their deadline! [>>link to International page with forms]

• Chapter Communications chairs: remember to send the form that you received from International to Elaine McIntosh by February 1, 2010.

• Register for the 2010-2012 chapter officers' training, which will be offered on 3 different Saturdays in 3 different cities. Chapters simply select the site and the date that is most convenient for them to attend. Registration form is due March 5, 2010. [>>more]

• Literacy Committee member Judy McDonald has compiled a list of books for reading with young children during November and December. What better way to enjoy one's children or grandchildren and be transported to another place and time than through a good book! Enjoy this list of titles for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas. • The Nominations Committee needs your DELTA KAPPA GAMMA JEWELS! Outstanding women are needed to serve as Xi State officers and on the Xi State finance, personnel and nominations committee for the 2011-2013 biennium. [>>more]

• Is your chapter a Visionary Chapter? Over 15 chapters across the state have achieved either Gold or Silver Visionary status! With a contribution of $200, your chapter can become a Silver Visionary chapter. For a donation of $1,000, your chapter will receive a Gold Visionary pin for the chapter president to wear.
