Keri Davis was awarded a $500 scholarship by Cindy Mills, past president of the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an organization for women educators. Miss Davis is a senior at Lee University and is majoring in English literature. From 1940 through 2006, international scholarships amounting $3,271,500 have been awarded by the society. In 2006, $126,000 in scholarships was awarded by Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, and $32,750 was awarded by Xi State, Tennessee chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. |

| On June 19, 2006, incoming chapter presidents and program chairs from Areas VII and VIII met at the Jackson-Madison County Library. These ladies spent the morning getting their biennium off to a great start. Many topics (like ways to improve yearbooks, getting members more involved, and brainstorming ways to stay organized) were discussed among the participants. |

| Elaine Warwick was the guest speaker. Elaine gave a wonderful overview of the programs and projects of Xi State. She related these activities to the purpose of Delta Kappa Gamma and reminded everyone of our founders. |
