Friday evening was a glittering affair as the Presidents' Banquet began with the Procession of Presidents, where outgoing chapter presidents and incoming chapter presidents were introduced by their respective area director. A speechless and surprised Betty Only received the prestigious Xi State Achievement Award for 2008. The evening culminated with a Dessert Reception honoring the Xi State Officers, Past Xi State Presidents, the Achievement Award Recipient, and Convention Guests Sheila McKay (Canadian Area Representative), Faeye Bedwell (Alabama State President 2007-2009), and Libby Watson (Alabama State President 2005-2007).
