The
2006 Xi State Convention welcomed 49 first-time attendees with
an Orientation Tea Thursday afternoon at Bishops Commons. Janice Sorsby greeted the first-timers and introduced the state
officers that were in attendance.
Janice shared
with the ladies a few of her experiences from previous conventions
on the "top of the mountain." Elaine Warwick, Xi State
President, expressed how meaningful each convention was to her
and how she hoped that the convention would become a special
annual event for each of the ladies.
Then the
spotlight turned to the first-timers. Each one introduced herself,
her chapter, and told something about her experiences with Delta
Kappa Gamma. Laughter and smiles abounded as new friends were
made! |
