The strength of any organization lies in its ability to inspire and motivate its members to work toward common goals. In order to accomplish this, the organization must have strong officers and leaders. The Xi State chapter has a multitude of dedicated leaders who are committed to the Society, its purposes, and its members. Their genuine love for the Society is reflected in the enthusiasm and zeal with which they fulfill their offices.

In addition to their Xi State duties, these women have families and careers and are active in their churches and communities. Listening to their backgrounds and qualifications, one might surmise that they were an important and unapproachable group too busy for individual members. Just the contrary is true. They enjoy visiting chapters across the state meeting new members and renewing old friendships. They do not view themselves as VIP's in the normal sense of the acronym. They are simply part of the group of "key women educators." That is the common thread that binds all 3,200 of us from Memphis to Mountain City!
