High School Essay Contest Winners |
The purpose of the contest is to encourage, to recognize, and to reward Tennessee high school students who demonstrate
outstanding writing skills. All Tennessee high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible. Each high school is limited to four (4) entries.
This year marks the 21st year of the high school essay contest. Students were asked to write a 300 to 500 word essay incorporating the quotation by Benjamin Disraeli, "Upon the education of the people of this country, the fate of this country depends." The essays were judged for writing skills as well as content and original development.
