(From the September 2020 Newsletter)
It is difficult to believe that the first half of my biennium as state president has passed; it certainly did not unfold as imagined. But is that not the way it often is between fantasy and reality? Comparing fantasy versus reality leads me to ponder our chapters – do we always conduct the same programs which we are comfortable doing and only invite those to join who think like us and we are at ease being around? Why not use this time to step out of our comfort zone and let unusual and foreign situations allow us to grow? Let’s explore outside our normal and see the world of DKG with new eyes – Let’s make our reality supersede our fantasy!
